Who are Character Appointed Representatives?

Character was established to provide support services to independent insurance brokers. With first-hand experience of founding and running a highly successful Network, we felt it was time to develop a new, innovative AR network to offer alternatives to the more established providers
What do you do?

We believe our partners should be able to focus on their clients and insurer relationships. To assist, we provide a wide range of broking support, compliance, back office systems and marketing (where required)
Do you deal direct with your own clients?

Yes. We believe this gives us a market advantage with both knowledge and insurer relationships.
How does it work?

You will be Appointed Representatives of Character Appointed Representatives, a trading style of David Haskolls Ltd. As an AR you are authorised by the FCA under our registration.
What is an Appointed Representative?

Appointed Representative is a term used by the FCA. The FCA defines an AR as a person or firm who conducts regulated activities and acts as an agent for a firm directly authorised by the FCA. The directly authorised firm is known as the AR’s ‘Principal’.
